Human-Human Interest Story It can never be boring Watch them struggle with their lives A catastrophe For a small fee you can tell me something I don’t need to know And if I like it you can sell me something that you want to show to the world Sign the dotted line and you’ll do fine baby Human-Human Interest Story A broadcast spectacle party Real life right before our eyes A legal voyeur am I And I will claim to care about you until the novelty wears off Bring in the new freak-you know what they say about the meek But just don’t forget to tune in tomorrow You should see the stuff that we eat up these days Human Interest Stories They never cease to amaze me They or I-who’s more crazy? You’ve got to wonder And I’m comfortable in knowing that I’ve got my problems too It’s how I choose to deal with them that sets me apart from you Human... Spoken: Show #1 Interviewer: So you get home and see your husband in bed with your sister? Interviewee: Yeah, and that wasn’t the worst of it! Show #2 Interviewee: man: Heck, I ain’t lettin’ my daughter marry anyone who ain’t white! woman: You can’t stop me! man: Oh yes I can! Interviewer: How can you keep your daughter away from someone she loves? Show #3 Interviewee: man: It’s easy. They just fall for me! woman: Boy, you gotta lot to learn about women man: Yeah, well you ain’t much woman: You make me sick! Interviewer: Ok, calm down guys. Let’s take more questions from the audience... They say this is real life-it’s what’s out there If it’s what they want then we’ll give it to them Human-Human Interest Stories Never cease to amaze me They or I-who’s more crazy? A legal voyeur am I Human...

Ladder 06:45
You better watch where you put that thing or you just might hurt someone You might even make somebody cry If you walk where angels fear to tread you just might feel at home You just might change all things inside-rearrange your pride I thought the world of your soul where the sun never set I never knew just what was right until I checked with You fit in me and I in you then why’d you have to See how it would be to be like them-no longer special Did two wrongs make one right? Had your fight just become a chore? And I-I believed that you could do no wrong And I believed that you would be here with me Now I’m calling you-I’m calling you back to your home I’m wanting you-I’m wanting you back-I’m alone You better watch where you put that thing or you just might have some fun You just might find it too far to fall Did you step off your pedestal? Did you have to take a look from down here? Will you ever find a ladder high enough To get you back where you once were? The place I thought that you would never stray And though it seemed I’d lost my way I always wanted you to stay You thought the world was a place made to frighten you You always knew the work ahead to make a change in me And you a team-never the same yet such a bright flame Seen from miles away and they would say that it looked perfect And now I believe that you can do some wrong And I believe that you still belong with me Now I’m losing you-I’m losing you why must you go? I’m known to you-belong to you-I’ve shown to you how it could-how it should be We’ve got to watch where we put our things And try to fix it way before the breaking starts We should have kept those involved at just us two And when the forces that pull apart take their tolls on our minds and on our hearts Putting back all the pieces makes a whole new work of art And when confusion gives way to thoughts uncluttered And the choice is make a break or undying love wish you’d prefer the latter

I 04:05
I thought we’d share our whole lives I thought we’d meet in good time I thought we’d look back and sigh I thought of more hills to climb But I was so hard to find once in a while I saw a friend who was a friend of you the other night Seems she was almost as confused as how you took to flight Sometimes I saw that it could end like this but now you’re really gone No more chance to right the wrongs or say goodbye Only I thought I’d leave you behind I thought that you’d never mind I thought my motive was right I thought we’d fight the good fight But I was so hard to find once in a while I had a dream about you the other night Seems you back in our lives the other night I was afraid I’d be unable to cry when one of us was gone I woke up with a taste of tears and swollen eyes-open eyes I saw a friend who was a friend to me the other night I couldn’t tell him what it meant for me to see him smile I walked away with my stomach in a knot and now I know why Sometimes I could kill myself for killing time So hard to find

Top Secret 04:40
Kill the chief or plan a coup Please don’t-we know where you’re going to We do-we know about you Make it our business all day through We never rest-that’s all we do-we know what’s best for you If we told half the things we knew there’d be another World War II You can’t handle the truth Those little things that we all keep inside become the only true parts of ourselves Coverups-conspiracies too-how else can we tell the truth to you Reduced to a soundbite-you hear through filters every night Does it surprise you when you see the scraps we’ve left for your t.v. Major news flash We water down the beer and take the salt and then we disappear You don’t know what you’re missing Those little things that we all keep inside become the only true parts of ourselves You stick around long enough you will find a world around you with its peace of mind Push the button-pull the plug-dare we say we’d pull the rug from you Don’t even try it you’ll lose Those little things that we all keep inside become the only true parts of ourselves You stick around long enough you will find a world around you with its peace of mind Those little things that we all keep inside become the only true parts of ourselves It’s all top secret

Why Me? 03:47
Why do you make me cry mother I thought that I could fly father Add, subtract, multiply teacher Who, what, how, where and whys Why do you keep me in the dark at night Tell me why-why me? Found limits in my skies father Now that I’ve grown up shy don’t bother Don’t fight just pacify-move over We smother signs of life Why do the little things we never do shine so bright? Why must I learn form lessons never taught Tell me why-why me? If it’s not one thing it’s surely another keeping me down Yet I’ll never bring myself to blame you for it all And if you cared for me then why would you do it anyway Yet it’s still one thing I keep coming back to every time I fell small but even tall buildings can fall The years have passed us by-I’m stronger Still the feeling won’t subside Why can’t we shake ourselves free form the trap we both created long ago? If it’s not one thing it’s surely another keeping me down Yet I’ll never bring myself to blame you for it all And if you cared for me then why would you do it anyway Yet it’s still one thing I keep coming back to every time It’s time for us to try
